Undergraduate electives
Edinburgh Orthopaedics welcomes applications for undergraduate elective placements from both national and international medical schools.
These elective placements typically last between four and eight weeks and aim to provide an overview of trauma, adult elective and paediatric clinical subspecialities. Students will be assigned to a lead consultant during their placement, but will have flexibility to attend a variety of clinical activities with a range of consultants and doctors in training. Students are both encouraged and welcome to attend local trainee teaching sessions, journal clubs and social events during their placement.
