We are committed to solving orthopaedic problems that limit and individual’s ability to maintain an active lifestyle and have a strong focus on injury prevention, clinical trials, clinical outcomes and orthobiologics. We have world-class facilities, and state-of-the-art equipment and have a track record of delivering practice changing translational and clinical research. Our multidisciplinary research is thriving, and has been supported by grants from the Wellcome Trust, Chief Scientists Office as well as collaborations with industry.
We also host and collaborate with a number of leading orthopaedic and sports medicine research units, including Stanford University; Rush University Orthopaedic Sports Medicine, and Twin Cities Orthopaedics, Minneapolis. We have collaborated in research with the European Tour (Golf) Performance Institute (ETPI), the medical department of the San Francisco 49ers NFL team, Scottish Rugby Union and Scottish Premiership football clubs.
